Please join us on Friday, May 25th, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m for APEQ's annual volleyball social! The event will take place at McGill Currie Gymnasium in gyms 1 & 2, the cost is 10$ which includes food, a few alcoholic beverages and the right to play! All APEQ members, friends, teachers and McGill students are invited, always a fun time and we look to seeing you there! The Association of Physical Educators of Quebec invites interested individuals/groups to facilitate highly interactive presentations for physical and health education teachers!

This year’s conference will be held at McGill University, Currie Gymnasium on Thursday, November 22nd, 2012.
Over 200 physical education teachers from across the province will be in attendance. Each presentation will be
60 minutes in duration, including a 10-minute question period. Presentations can be made in classrooms, gymnasium or outdoors.

Preference will be given to workshops that demonstrate high interaction and share best practices/successful approaches to teaching physical education.



Application forms are due
before June 30th, 2012 and can be filled out and submitted online

PHE National Conference - RIDESHARE

Nova Scotia’s Teachers Association for Physical and Health Educators (TAPHE) and Physical and Health Education Canada (PHE Canada) are partnering for the 2012 National Conference, “A Harbour of Hope: Health and Physical Literacy.”

The National Conference provides an opportunity for delegates to network with colleagues and increase their knowledge and skills to foster healthy active living for children and youth in the school community.
Delegates are people involved with the health, physical activity and education needs of children and youth including educators, public health, administrators, recreation leaders, physical education specialists and generalists who want more information regarding physical education.

Physical and Health Education teachers in Quebec that are planning to attend the 2012 National Conference, but are looking to cut down on costs are encouraged to post their interest in sharing rides on our Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/APEQonline) so others can get in contact with you! More specifically, under the “Forum” section, a topic titled “2012 PHE Canada National Conference - Rideshare!” has been created in order to facilitate the means of communication.
